2017 CommUNITY Interfaith Build

Join us March 31-April 2, 2017 for an experience designed to bring the commUNITY together!

The legacy of faith-based groups building a brighter future for Monroe County is a tremendous one. This year we are expanding our reach to more diverse commUNITY groups as well. The goal of our CommUNITY Interfaith Build is to shine a light on what unites us while working together to support Habitat’s mission in Monroe County. Our similarities far outweigh our differences.

The CommUNITY Interfaith Build will bring together volunteers and donors as part of “commUNITY” groups (ie. teams) to frame-up a home for a hard-working family over just 3 short days. Funds raised during the UNITY Build will sponsor the land, infrastructure, and materials needed for the home, as well as the homeowner education training each family is required to complete before moving in.

When Habitat for Humanity builds a home, the owners pay a mortgage that funds another home until eventually they build a commUNITY. There is a limit to how many people can build a Habitat house, but there is no limit to how many people can contribute to the building. You can sponsor a volunteer builder for the UNITY Build by making a secure donation on-line through this website. We thank you for your support!
